The Count
can you give me the lowdown about the LFJA, I've always wanted to know its relevence.
Reb Starblazer
The LucasForums Jedi Academy is a group of people who in a sense try to emulate the Jedi Training seen in the movies. New users(padawans) are apprenticed to veteren users(Masters), who teach the "padawans" the ways of the forums, not to spam, not to flame, to be a good part of the community in general. Treating others with kindness and respect will result in kindness and respect back. If the Padawan has questions about something on the forums, they can ask their Master for help. It's almost like a Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization of LucasForums. We don't own you, control you, or force you to do anything. All we ask is that if you do join LFJA, that you at least listen to the advice your master(who must have 1000 posts I might add) gives you, as they have been down that road before and can pass on their knowledge to you. Most of the members of LFJA are good friends who keep in contact with each other over MSN and various other instant messaging programs. A community within a community if you will. We often play games such as Jedi Outcast, and I know some play Age of Mythology together, so there's that side of it as well. Basically, if you give us respect, we'll give you our time and do our best to make sure that your LucasForums experience is a good one.
The Count
Thats a really nice thing to do, however you don't have over 1000 messages! (not being rude here)
Guest Jed
Are you implying you're looking for a master then?
Darklighter
Be sure to check out all the stickies at the top of the forum: they give a lot of relevant background information about the LFJA's rules, regulations and answers to frequently asked questions. Originally posted by Count_D00ku Thats a really nice thing to do, however you don't have over 1000 messages! (not being rude here) Well, Reb, along with Obi-wan13 (the almighty founder:)), myself, Darth Groovy and many others started this organisation back in June/July 2002. We've come a long way since then, and Reb is one of our oldest and most respected Masters, despite him having under 1000 posts. If you are interested in joining, please let me know here and I'll direct you to the application form. You just gotta fill that out then you can find a master; it shouldn't be too hard though, as the master to apprentice ratio is quite a large difference:D Thank you for your interest in our cause, once again:)
The Count
No thank you I wouldn't like to join, however thank you for offering, I know the rules pretty well (I've been here over a year) however when that wonderful time comes and I get over 1000 posts I am most likely to to apply to be a master or knight, or I may start my own rival Dark Jedi Shadow Accademy, who knows what the future holds. Darklighter
Actually, there was a Sith Academy, started up by Divine Spirit to oppose the LFJA (remember him?). They had pretty much the same intentions as us, but instead just being evil and Sith Lords and Sith apprentices instead of Jedi Masters and padawans. It was all going well til the leader left, and the whole establishment fell apart. There are only two known members left, Darth Slayne and Darth Talliusc, who both joined the LFJA after;) Well, you can apply anytime you want to, no one's forcing you too. Basically, we just want to make this forum a better and nicer place for everyone who posts in it, and it's great when someone wants to join our cause and help:)Once again, thanks for being interesting, and we hope to see you soon:)
