MilesTeg
AFAIK you need 3D Studio Max 3.0 and the rof plug-in raven included in the Elite Force SDK. I don´t think there is a difference between rofs for camera or object movement... In 3D Studio you have to create an object and animate it. export the scene with the rof export plug-in
Postman85
Where can I find 3D Studio Max 3.0?
lassev
It seemed to me that the .rofs contain some sense of direction. I tried to use one of the jumping rofs, but the NPC always jumped in the wrong direction (and I didn't want to reverse my whole map). Or is this correct? Could you someway order the direction of object animation rofs? That is, without doing the .rof anew with 3D Studio Max.
MilesTeg
rofs are mostly used for map objects like func_static entities (including static models like Tie Fighters, the Ravens Claw) and camera movement. Do they really work with an "alive" npc ?? I guess the rof file is bound to the geometry (xyz) of the map.
