Can I use Milkshape for....

If you compile with Q3Map2 (included in the recent releases of GtkRadiant), you can use MilkShape's own format, MS3D. It's the default format when you save documents, you don't need to export.

 

You can also use anything that can export to one of the following formats:

 

MD3

3DS

ASE

OBJ

MS3D

In order to make map models, i believe the best way is to use GMAX to create the model and skin it, Tempest to export as MD3, and Milkshape to edit the materials, make the control file .QC and export again as .MD3.

 

This is the procedure i took, like said in a tutorial, n i had no problems.
