Dello
Hi all When I go to compile a map the Command Prompt doesn't close like it's supposed to. I went to BSP>FullVis in Radiant. Does anyone know what might be wrong? -Thanks
Obsidian-Jovani
How large is your map? With large maps it can take a long time for the compile to finish.
Dello
Oh it's only a room with: -A Trigger Surrounding The Player-Start box -Trigger is linked to a script-runner -A single light Is there anything here that might be wrong?
AFL_CARNAGE
Obsidian's point is valid, big maps take some time to compile, hours, or even days (i already had to w8 much time). But the map is small, so it should finish within 2 minutes... I believe the problem either is the JKRadiant itself, the paths, or u didnt install the tools correctly... I suggest u go to the following link: http://richdiesal.jedioutcastmaps.com/tutorials/index.html This is where i learned how to map, basically... Its very good, n u might find some answers... Take care m8... May The Force Be With You!

Emon
You should be using GtkRadiant anyways, it's better in the following aspects: All Seriously, it's better. http://www.qeradiant.com
AFL_CARNAGE
Thx, i appreciate that, but there r more ppl in the forums, like psik0sith, whos helping me in modeling players.... Anyway... I dont know wich radiant ur using, i assumed u were using JKradiant (for JK duhhhhh)... I never had major problems with it, but Emon might be rite, if u r at start of learning how things work, i believe u should try out another Radiant versions to c wich suits better ur needs. Although i think the better for JKII work, is JKradiant... Anyway, in the link i gave u, dont jump any lesson, n expecially text parts, its vital for u n ur map to work, read everything carefully! After u reach end of it, check out this: http://mapping.jediknightii.net/tutorials.htm As u already found out, some lessons aint active yet on the 1st link i gave u, despite Mr. Diesel bein the god in mapping, so u might find some useful tips in these tutorials as well... Take care m8, n good luck... May The Force Be With You!
