clu
OK, finally getting back to mapping. Leslie, I believe you are a genius. I think this will work quite nicely for what I want to accomplish. An added bonus is that "melee" seems to throw you back into first-person mode, which I was actually trying to do as well. I also liked your test map. I never thought my gladiator would need to go to the restroom, but it makes perfect sense he would put away one sword to deal with the other one. Hey thanks again. It's much, much appreciated. -clu

Hey clu, I'm looking forward to your map, Kengo has told me it is excellent.

clu
Hey Lassev I created an extra thingie/mod that enhances Leslie's workaround for using "melee" to strip away the saber if you want to use it. Basically it's just a mod that gets rid of all the melee sounds and alters the animations.cfg file so that you don't visibly punch people or walk around with your fist up (you just stand and walk around as normal). Anyway if this is any use to you, let me know and I'll email it. -clu P.S. Thanks again Leslie. This was definitely the solution I needed
Leslie Judge
I'm very curious of this map. Glad to see that I could help, clu.
lassev
Thanks for the offer, Clu, but as I do have this problem that I should still retain the force powers, I'm forced to change the plot slightly. It wouldn't do to take away weapons for a short period, only to get them back mystically the same moment you get back the force powers. It's a pity. I now intend to cover the problematic area with a cinematic, so the player won't get any ideas, no matter what.
RenikDelan
Originally posted by Leslie Judge clu, I made a little sample map of my idea for disabling the sword. I think this can be a good solution for you. Maybe. can you pass it my way too? Pleeeease? My scenario is an MP map, and I want them transported into jail and "magically" lose their saber. renik@cox.net
Kengo
Sorry man, they're talking about SP maps, you can't get scripting in MP maps for JO, and this needs scripting.
clu
What Kengo said... (I'm pretty clueless on MP mapping otherwise I'd try to think of another workaround) -clu
