opengl problem for xp with voodoo 3

it's actually kind of funny. first of all, the game works perfectly for me with win98 se. then, i installed xp. it took me half an year to get it to work. i installed a voodoo driver for windows xp, and it works for multiplayer. here is the funny part, the game works for mp but not sp. furthermore, in mp mode, the game will crash when it runs the garbage facility map (ffa_ns_hideout.bsp) and jedi academy map. i wonder what is wrong.

 

my system:

pentium iii 533

voodoo 3

ram: 256mb

windows xp professional
