Hello all, i've been browsing the forums for a little while now and have just made an account for myself so please excuse the padawan question :)

Thing is i'd be grateful if someone could tell me where to put a demo file is it in game database? and then how is it played, i take it u bring up console then type a command such as demoplay 'whatever file name is' ?

I've went through the how to make a jk2 movie thread and didnt actually see how to start the demo anywhere, any help is appreciated.

in the LucasArts folder go to the star wars JK II Jedi outcast folder then to game data then to the base folder and you will see a DEMO folder put the demo in there. to play it, start the game up as if you was going to start a multiplayer game and then when you get to the option screen to start a game or join a game, there will be a 3ed option of demo, click there and it will bring a list of current demo files on you pc. click the one you want to play then press play.

if you want to make a demo file you will need to follow Nuti post on making movies.

A good demo script if you need one.

F5 starts, F6 stops and loads the next demo to be recorded.

Just copy and past all that junk into a notepad file and save it as:

autoexec.cfg

Drop it in your base folder and record away.

// Jk2Bindings

bind F5 "vstr startswitch"

bind F6 "vstr stopswitch"

set startswitch "g_synchronousClients 1;vstr rec_demo;g_synchronousClients 0"

set stopswitch "stoprecord;vstr nxt_demo;echo Stopped demo;echo Current demo;rec_demo"

// Cycles 1-20

set demo_01 "set rec_demo record demo01; set prv_demo vstr demo_20; set nxt_demo vstr demo_02"

set demo_02 "set rec_demo record demo02; set prv_demo vstr demo_01; set nxt_demo vstr demo_03"
