How Do i set up a Rcon Address?

I'd like to set up and RCon address for my clans server, how do I type this in? Please help me!

If you want to access the server remotly.

 

First you need to set up the password.

 

I hope you already know the Ip of your server.

 

Next, in your server.cfg file, type

 

seta rconpassword "pass"

 

where pass is your chosen password...Next, when you run your server, type \exec server.cfg in the console to run the settings.

 

If you need to access the server, without actually being in the game or on the server itself you can do this.

 

Start up JK2 and open up the console on the main screen. Type:

 

\rconaddress xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

 

where the x's would be your ip number. Hit Enter

 

Next Type: \rconpassword pass ( pass being the chosen password )

 

You can double check to see if you are connected remotly by doing /status.

 

If you want to use rcon access while you are playing on that server, all you need to do is open up the console and type in:

 

\rconpassword pass ( pass being the chosen password )
