ET: First netherworld level 2nd Artifact

On the First netherworld level the 2nd artifact.

I know where it is (i guesses then checked in a walkie after i beat the whole game)

It is on the platform you have to whip swing too not the one on the ledge.

I cant get there.

 

so here are my questions:

 

1) how many swings do i do?

2) Is there a special trick to getting there?

3) how should I go about it?

4) what is this gallery you get?

5) is it really worth it?

 

any help would be appreciated.

I have ALL 30 artifacts but this last one.

And I want to see this gallery.

I can't get there either. I can't swing to the second lamp. I have only tried a few times because it's a pain to get there.

well for me I stand at the edge, jump, grab, swing, release, grab the second and then swing, release and i fly right under the third and final lamp.

 

i have tried all i can think and it just doesnt work. I can get all other three swing ones I have to do, even the bonus whip gym (pc version) but this keeps dropping me without a third lamp a few feet under the edge of the platform. IM PISSED!

i completed the whole game. let me help you out

 

1) 3

 

2) no trick involve. once hooked on to the 1st lamp, immediately release and swing to the 2nd. here comes the tricky part, stop and leave Indy hanging, then get momentum by pressing W or S. at the 3rd time (swinging to the front with much more momentum than the 1st), release midway before fully finishing that swing to hook on the last lamp

 

3) just swing... the artifact is at the head of the skeleton

 

4) it consists of the concept art of nearly everything

 

5) if you consider about 30 pictures of concept art worthy, do it

I just did it and it works. so there is a SLIGHT trick to it.(stop and then swing)

at first i forgot to do it on the way back and i fell but I tried again didnt get frustrated and im home with all 30 artifacts, all the levels completed (including von back's revenge wich really pissed me off.

 

The gallery isnt great buts its cool. i saw pictures of places and people that i never saw in the game and it was worth trying just to get the bonus and the rush you get when your on a roll.

The Gallery is kinda cool, but not nearly as cool as a full artifact case. It just looks... right.
