Natty
Well I've just gotten home from the footy (Aussie Rules) now some of you might be saying whoopee why does that make you touched. Well the reason for it is because tonight one of the players for the team I support (the Kangaroos) made a comeback after he was involved in the Bali bombings last October and suffered burns to 50% of his body. I've never felt so proud in my entire life to see someone who was in a coma for weeks who was so determined to get his life back on track, marry his girlfriend and tonight make a return to football. On the sad side, after the game Jason McCartney announced his retirement from football. “I suppose this is no better time. I think I’ve used up every bits of my determination … every inch of my determination through my fitness and mental effort and I find it fitting now that I hang the boots up as of tonight and go out after a great night,” McCartney said. “It’s been a tough time. It’s been a huge mental battle to get where I am today. Physically my body is still healing and mentally it’s been hard carrying the hopes of a nation.” He's done Australians proud and has represtented so much, not just for the club but those who were also affected by the Bali Bombings last year. It's at times like this it makes me realize how I must take things for granted. We never know what's going to happen today, tomorrow, next week, next month and so on and so forth so make each day count. Al-back from the BigWhoop
yeah, fighters like him really make me proud. Another one that impresses me is Ronaldo. Since 1998 he had being going in downfall, after all those surgeries and phisiotherapy to get his knee working. Every journalist in Brazil and around the world said he would never again play football. And after 4 years of fighting, he comes back to the World Cup and ends up the best scorer, with 8 goals. These ppl are examples to us all
Natty
The name Ronaldo sounds fimiliar. I'm not into soccer, but the name sounds fimiliar for some reason. This guy has always been one of my fave players ever since he came to us... I just wish he managed to play in a winning Grand Final, he missed out on the 1998 premiership coz we lost and then he missed out on playing in the 1999 premiership which we won
