celtron Posted June 9, 2003 Posted June 9, 2003 i've been beating my head against a wall trying to figure out how i got banned from my own server, only to find that i am banned from 90% of the servers out there... servers i never visited.... WTF is going on? HELP
celtron Posted June 9, 2003 Author Posted June 9, 2003 all compueters on my lan are banned from 90% of the servers out there. each computer has it's own copy of JK2 installed (seperate disks) to clarify.... computer 1 : installed JK2 bought copy 1 computer 2 : installed JK2 bought copy 2 computer 3 : installed JK2 bought copy 2 running windedserver104 HELP........ are banned ips stored in some master database wither locally or on the net. and if locally, where is the file kept so i can clean it? PLEEEEEZE HELP.... I MUST DUEL
Andy867 Posted June 12, 2003 Posted June 12, 2003 Do you actually get a Banned Error message, or what kind of error do you get or can you not see the games themselves. If thats the case, it may be due to the LAN issues with the Router used to share internet connection amongst the 3 computers.
celtron Posted June 12, 2003 Author Posted June 12, 2003 thanks andy, i tried a reinstall and it took care of the prob... no router on our network (simple hub) and yes, i was getting a banned message from servers. the problem has fixed itself, after reinstall. still curious thanks again
Andy867 Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 the computer may have had some problem, or someone was pulling your chain and added your IP via RCON password to the ban IP list. (just a thought) Would be the only way I can think of really.
