lil lechuck
I like Otis... and Largo... and Guybrush. I love they way Largo just is feared by everyone and goes around tipping CERTAIN PEOPLES belongings into swamps. I like Guybrush he's really funny, theres some really good humour written in the scripts, mostly in CMI and least of all in EMI if you ask me. And Otis just made me crack up, some of the stuff he said in MI1, he was so funny.

lil lechuck
I forgot about Captain Rottingham he's funny.. and I liked Haggis McMutton, Edward Vanhelgen, and Cutthroat Bill too. They're funny. Loved the song they sang and Captain Rottingham was really funny, specially when he had his hair chopped off...
MonkeyIslandMan
MURRAY!!!! He is a very funny character all the way through CMI and should have played a bigger role in number 4.
Destructomatic
All the way through CMI? He was only in CMI and EFMI
Alia
I think he meant all through the GAME, not the whole series. It makes rather more sense that way.
Destructomatic
hmmm that could be. he made it sound like he's been around for all the MI games lol. my apologies.
Xalan
I haven't played SoMI or MI:LR since... well... since windows 3.1 was new... jeese... but out of EfMI and CoMI I'd have to rank Mr. Fossey and Murray as the two best characters. Mr. Fossey because he's insane... need I say more? Murray because of his sarcasm, 'evilness', and downright ability to make me laugh until, and past, it hurts. Tahnee
Well, I've always loved Guybrush and LeChuck, but beyond them...I'd say Largo is definitely my favorite character. He's a mean little git, but he's funny and I see a lot of potential for his character. (I'm a fanfic writer; I notice these things, okay?!) Though, in EMI (first MI game I ever played) I think Ozzie Mandrill stole the show. He's another interesting villain who adds some variety to the plot, and I love his "I am Ozzie Mandrill!" speech at the end. Referencing Ozymandias much are we, Ozzie? Hårfagre
Dhingy Dog. That mystical man in that "inocent" costume. Those evil eyes, ever lurking from his mouth. His unhuman laughter. His mystical true nature, hidden behind the lovable act of a big stuffed animal. There is something evil about that dog, but still I am unable to see what. And I feel that he even was against LeChuck. Some time though, we will see the true man inside that dog suit.
Max is my Hero
i ignore 3+4 coz they destroyed the series IMO. Anyway its got to be stan!!! his midi music! his cowboy hat! the waving arms! the tapping feet! the fact that his shirt pattern stays the same no matter how much he moves! STAN IS A LEGEND. My 2nd fav lucas character next to Max from Sam and Max
Destructomatic
I forgot to mention Mr. Fossey! He's one of my favorite characters from CMI. he's so stupid, and that voice and the hiked up pants make him downright hilarious!!
TheVaderman
LeChuck!!!! Or maybe Herman, man', he's great!
Ariana
Regarding Largo: Well, I don't know about Spanish, but "largo" is an Italian word meaning "slowly" and is commonly used in music terminology. It is also the name of a character in the popular webcomic Megatokyo. Now, as for my favorite character? Definitely Guybrush. I say this because I'm a sucker for heroes, even lovably incompetent heroes. Coming in a VERY close second is Elaine, because she's just such a strong female character, with a sharp wit. I want to be like her. ^_^

Bushmeister
Stan Stan!! From the moment I first saw Stan waving his arms about in SOMI, I thought he was really funny, and I think that his voice acting in COMI was brilliant, although not as good in EMI. But nonetheless, Stan's ships, used coffins, life insurance and real estate deals are always funny.

Ernil
Stan's ships, used coffins, life insurance and real estate deals are always funny. Ah...yes....Stan was quite the funny guy. It's a shame, though, that we don't get to see MORE of Stan. Remember that when you use the Ash-to-Life on the cook, he says something along the lines of "Thank Goodness I was wearing my flame-resistant apron." After this quote, you say "Where did you buy that apron?" and he replys "Stan's Used Kitchen Supplys"(or something near that). Who knows how many humorous stores Stan has set up! Personally, I can easily imagine Stan in a store, trying to sell me knives and pots. What a guy.... Farewell, Ernil
Bushmeister
Stan gets around everywhere it would seem, but I feel that he was under-used in MI4, there were some less funny characters like I.Cheese who got more coverage than he did.

Ernil
I agree, Bush. The main point of Stan in MI4 game was "Try to figure out how to make stan NOT bore you to sleep." More parts for him would have been great. Which pissed me off greatly. Stan's the man (in my opinion, best in MI1. That game's so good, i almost cry thinking about it. ) farewell, Ernil
CaptainDread
My favorite character is Captain Dread, if you haven't guessed. The point was that you thought he might just be more fiercesome than LeChuck, judging by his name. And it turned out that he was called that due to his dreadlocks. The character design was awesome too.
