after falling thru dig site

I've fallen thru the dig site on the giant statue head. After using the explosive on the pillar I've worked my way up to the hanging wooden crate. Here it indicates that I have to cut the rope with my saber. Unfortunately I did not have a saber in my inventory when i started the level. Is there anywhere on this level to get a saber or is there anything else i can do at this point.

dennisro, you don't need to cut the rope except to get an artifact. Just make your way to the crane cabin. If you must have the artifact, there should be a machete in a skeleton's hand back in the pool with the two divers. (Where you got the demo charges.)
