Danyx
Weapons will be found in the bazaar terminals, sold by players who are artisans and are specialzing in crafting weaponsmiths. Look under misc/weapons. Note, items sold as Rori/Rori or Tattoine/Tattoine, etc, are player vendors and you cannot pick up items in the main cities. Those items are listed as example, Rori/Restuss or Tattoine/MosEspa. A player vender will mean you will have to trek out to their store outside of a city limits. Not a problem for warriers, a little more difficult for entertainers. To find a private vendor after purchasing your item, you will get an email with an attachment. Save the attachment (click on the little world on the e-mail) and it will load a waypoint onto your data pad. Got to the datapad and bring up the radial screen and activate the waypoint to bring up the location on your ctrl-v map.
Tal-N
Ok, I'll help out here too since I was in beta as well. Ask your questions and I'll try to answer them as best i can. Some professions i know very little about in terms of specifics (one of them being what the Doctor can perform/make specifically) but then again you won't see any elite professions for a week or so except from the hardcore players and beta players who know the exploits. Firstly I'd like to start with something i saw on the official SWG forum about people struggling to kill anything and finding missions exceptionally tough. The point here is that missions difficulty ratings aren't accurate, they'll never be totally accurate as players all tactic situations differently so some types of enemies are difficult for different players. The best thing you can do is spend some time learning the wildlife, get familar with what is out there so that you recognise easy prey at a glace. If it's Naboo then rawls, Gnort, chuba and kaadu are reasonably simple for anyone with blasters. Naturally your skil level will modify things more or less but from experience these enemies are the easiest to kite or are suitably weak in some form (ie. taking damage and/or causing it) or in the case of Fanned Rawls if you attack them from a distance then they take ages to lock into where they are being attacked from plus they aren't very fast to cover ground. Just be careful once they get close since they do pack a punch. Then there are 'lesser' enemies who are actually quite tough nuts to crack for one reason or another, these are the ones you need to learn about as missions can often have a low payout or rating even though these enemies are tricky. Again if i take Naboo as an example then Spineflaps are the really annoying ones and Ikopie are surprizingly resilient. So it's a case of know yourself and know your enemy. Akleen
Well if the only weapons in this game are gonna be player crafted then you Artisans and others crafters better get your butts in gear cause I need some better stuff. Don't MAKE me craft my own stuff now......please.
Danyx
You also need to QUALIFY for those weapons. If you have a cdef pistol and loot or buy a higher quality pistol but are qualified for the cdef pistol only...then your shots will be MORE effective with the lesser pistol than the high-end one. Each twig on the branch of your chosen weapon in the skill tree will qualify you for better weapons. Also note, artisan made equipment is always higher quality items than drops. Tyrk
I got one. Is there any way to cancel a macro that is currently running? For example, if i have a sampling macro that runs for 28 minutes and I want to end it early. Thanks, T.J.
Tal-N
Ooo, thats a good question. Honestly I'm not sure but i don't think there is a way to end a macro from what some people I've known have said, there was someone i knew called Dallas who had a 1 hour macro for sampling so that he didn't have to sit around for ages as he pulled up hundreds of the same resource. So if he was able to end it then why bother setting it to run for just an hour when he could get it to loop? The answer is that i don't think he was able to end it suddently unless he was attacked.
