Exar_reborn Posted June 29, 2003 Posted June 29, 2003 I know thats an oxymoron but in the majority of other games the UA profession had weapons such has a cestus, nekode, or katar. So are there any weapons like vibroblades that UA can use or do you just use your hands.
Mujahid Posted June 30, 2003 Posted June 30, 2003 The difference in SWG is that there really aren't any "classes". So, even if you take up a predominatly unarmed profession, there are still skill trees within that profession that are not unarmed. For example, you can take up a staff skill that allows you to use various staves for combat. These skills, however, develop entirely separately from your unarmed skills. But the two combine to make up the "profession" of your choice (like "Brawler", for instance). So, to answer your question, "Yes and no". Let me explain that: There are weapons you can use that would be considered "UA" weapons in other games. However, you do not use your UA skill to use those weapons. You use whichever skill tree corresponds to that weapon, *regardless* of what your unarmed skill is. So, for example, even if you are at the top of the tree in unarmed skills, you might really suck at wielding a staff or some other "UA-ish" weapon.
Jackrabbit Posted June 30, 2003 Posted June 30, 2003 I think "Vibro Knuckles" use the unarmed skill. Vibro Knuckles are like brass knuckles, but...vibro. I haven't seen any ingame yet.
