arguile
well i was just lookin through the swg help file and my ati 9800 128 mb chip is not on the list of compatible chips...it said that if your chip wasnt on there but your chipset was you could still play. by this, does it mean that my ati card will be fine or what? what do you guys think am i screwed or do i just have to download some new drivers or something? -=ReApEr=-
Well it depends to be honest, i would try and see if god is being nice to me. But thing is, if it isn't on the list then it isn't on the list, so it will probally not work with the game. Sorry.
toolfan
Reason why it isnt on the list is because the Radeon 9800 is a new card. Yes it will work perfectly. I have the 9700 which is virtually the same card and it works great. the chipset is the GPU made by the manufacturer, Nvidia and ATI make chipsets and then sell the technology to vido card makers. ATI also makes video cards to, Nvidia just makes chipsets and then sells those chips to video card makers. anyways yes your Radeon 9800 will work just fine with SWG, no need to worry. toolfan
the 9600 is one of the lower end ATI video cards. it is however good enough for SWG. but if you can afford it I say go ahead and buy the Radeon 9700 pro. It will increase your performance by a huge amount.
Abaddon
....common sense... when did people lose this.... Or you could buy a 9500 pro and save some money.
