Nitz Posted July 7, 2003 Share Posted July 7, 2003 Ok, so I got a couple buddies who are having interesting game-play issues. Actually, that may be somewhat inaccurate... they're unable to even choose a server on which to play. Installation runs smoothly. On first run, they experience such crippling lag that pages turn only once every couple minutes. However, after attempting to select a server, the game constantly crashes back to startup. One is running Windows 98 SE, the other Win 2k. They have both insured all minimum specs are met and all drivers and DX9a are up to date and installed. Both systems far exceed minimum standard hardware requirements, yet they both have two completely different configurations. Neither has been able to advance far enough to even create a character. If there is any info anyone can provide me that will assist, or anything additional I can add to provide more detail, please let me know. Deft Aklin Posted July 7, 2003 Share Posted July 7, 2003 Okay, delete the whole thing. Then: Check for updated drivers....again. Radeon is 3.5 Catalyst now. Install the game. Run a virus scan. Do a thorough scandisk. Do a system defrag. Now start the launchpad and select full-scan. If that doesn't work.....I'd contact the tech support group.
