Cujo2099
I have a problem with Jedi Knight 2 cinematics. The thing is that I have other games with cg videos, and they run smooth, and the game itself (Jedi Knight 2) runs smoothly, but the videos stutter. This happened after I reinstalled windows XP. I have the newest drivers installed for everything, from graphics to directX, except for the sound drivers. If I try to install the new sound drivers, windows XP crashes, and no I didn't install win9x drivers, there XP drivers. The best part before I reinstalled Windows, the game was running fine, all of it. So it can't be that the CD is scratched, and I checked for anything running in the background, beside like I said the other games with videos run smooth. My specs: Pentium 4 1.6GHZ GeForce 4MX 440 SB Live 5.1 ASUS P4T-E motherboard 512MB RDRAM @800MHZ Maxtor 40GIG 7200RPM Sony 16X DVD Yamaha 24X/10X/40X CD-Writer DirectX9.0a Windows XP professional other: Viewsonic 17" monitor E70f (plus drivers) Creative Inspire 5300 5.1 speakers Logitech Wingman Rumblepad newest drivers As you can see from my specs I shouldn't have any problems running the game, and I didn't before, so I would appreciate any help you guys can give me. Andy867
Try turning of EAX in the setup options if its enabled, and try using a CD cleaner because if the CD is scratched or there is dust in the CDROM, it will cause the videos to skip since the video is partially off the CD.
