Garoth
On tatooine, after helping Komad take out the krayt dragon, you obviously get the dragon pearl. It seems like a pretty nice upgrade for your lightsabre, but you have to give the pearl to the leader of the sandpeople to complete the "Worthy of History" quest. (I am following the light path, so I am not slaughtering the sandpeople... yet anyways ) My question is, is it worth losing the pearl to complete that quest? I saved the game prior to turning in the pearl, so I can go either way, but I did listen to the history and there did not seem to be a lot of info there. Anyone know if completing the quest helps in any way? I didn't get any light side points for it, so I am not sure what good it does. Thanks for the help! -Garoth
Fafnir
As far as I know, the pearl (or pearls, if you kill the guy that you're helping to defeat the dragon) is best used either on your saber or for money. They sell for a little over 600 credits, I believe.
Com Raven
What, you can use the pearl for your saber? Damn, is there a way to get one if I return to Tatooine? Like killing the leader of the Tusken Raiders?
DarthCPA
You can complete the Historian quest by giving the Pearl to the Chieftain and getting to meet the historian, which gives you XP. If you want the Pearl back either insult the historian during your meeting, since he doesn't give you any additional quests or open one of the Sand People's wicker baskets. I used the wicker basket approach because fighting the Chieftain and his guards is quite difficult. Finish your chat with the historian, then go to another side of the enclave and open a basket, this causes the sand people to begin attacking you and you can thin out their ranks before going back for the Chief. Defeat the chief and get the Pearl. There is no Dark Side Points for doing this. If you already brokered the peaceful solution and earned the Light Point, this is a great way to pick up extra XP by fighting a lot of Sand People and getting the Pearl back, which is overall, probably the best crystal for a lightsaber. Havok2K3
Screw the Sand People! Kill 'em all! I order you, as future leader of all Sith, to kill all Sand People and everyone else you encounter!
Tarrche Brigand
If you don't want to be responsible for the utter destruction of the sand people (yes it is great fun to slaughter them but if you're trying to be a goodie little two shoes consider this instead...) Side quests like this one will remain active forever. Keep the Krayt dragon pearl until you get better crystals later on in the game. Many sidequests later will cause you to return to the dune sea so drop it off on one of your many return trips. It's a decent bit of exp. and you get that happy light side glow for furthering peaceful dialog and the integration of diverse alien culture. Yea whatever, killin' is always fun to
ckcsaber
If you got rid of your Dragon Pearl from the hunting mission on Tatooine or just want more, there is another sidequest you can do to gain another Dragon Pearl, though you it requires a surrender to the darkside. The sidequest is one of the "Genohendran" (sp?) mission's. Find the Genohedran member on Manaan (rodian) and complete the bounties. One of the bounties will lead you to Tatooine where you can aquire a Pearl.
StarScream423
All I did was make the Sandpeople historian angry, and they all attacked me, therefore, no darkside points for me.
dunca
I find it quite ironic that calo Nord won't trade your life for the pearl
