I have not had the sound cut out or black screen issues in a awhile.

I did notice when i took the general load screen tga and put a new one in the override it seemed to resolve that. I think the issue is that it might be looking for a load screen but since these are new locations and game/mod that it might just have issues and become buggy

create a new loadscreen/for general tga version. throw it in you over ride and see if that helps.
