Well, yes and no. Yes I am still trying to work on them, but I haven't been doing a lot of modeling lately. The only thing I have been doing in Max the last few weeks is messing with area models that are with the game and crawls.
As for modding of other sorts: both Har and I are back in school, which means not a whole lot of work for SotE, especially since he is also working full time.
On the other hand, I am miraculously finding time to work on writing the story for my own "fairly" secret project, which includes the snow module that I am hopefully destined to start working on again.

Awesome, I always love Quanon's tutorials. I'll check it out when I get my new computer(hopefully this weekend).

I haven't thought about snow actually falling for what I'm using it for, but I'm not sure. I've actually taken a prolonged break from my stuff to help out in SotE, so who knows when I'll have it done? Believe it or not, I've considered starting all over on the texturing a few times, breaking each model up into a few more pieces, and using 1 or 2 new textures to make it easier.

Well, thanks. But really, I haven't given up on making my snow planet, I'm just wondering if there is a better way than what I am currently doing. What I did was start with a plane, then use soft select to raise the border of my area - which will serve as mountains, then braking it up into pieces, then the all-boring UVW, and that takes a ton of work when you're only using 1 or 2 textures for the whole module.

I figured out I was going about changing the walkmesh the wrong way is what it was. Turns out if I decompile the walkmesh file back into ascii and load it in max, I can get rid of those holes. Never worked out the lightmap issue, though.
Overall, I decided to drop trying to edit a module already in the game by importing it into max. And what I was going to use that particular module for, I went ahead and am now making a whole new outside area instead. Hello, trouble.

After some bad confusion, I think I'm ready to try my hand at making new areas for SotE, if there are still any left to make.
