  1. Thanks for clarification! I didn't notice the caption!
  2. Maybe it isn't? It would be a real twist if LeChuck had competition!
  3. Yeah, I hope so to! It would be a great solution!
  4. Exactly! Being stuck and figuring out the solution later is one of the great joys of adventure gaming for me! The feeling when you finally solve a difficult puzzle is so rewarding!
  5. Thanks for the link Glokidd! I'm a bit worried about the hint system. I hope that it will be optional and that the more veteran players will get a chance to play the game without any hints being forced upon them...
  6. I know I know... It was only a joke. Although I would have liked if Ron somehow explained the bizzare EFMI revelations. Maybe the whole of EFMi was only a stange dream after Guybrush had some sort of accident? I would be happy with just about any explanation as long as Herman wasn't H.T Marley and there wasn't any Giant Monkey Robot under Monkey Island...
  7. PS. I have a proposal! If Ron doesn't acknowledge that Herman is H.T. Marley then let's agree that the retcon is not valid, and NEVER mention it again! In fact, why don't we agree that the entire ending of EFMI (the Giant Monkey Robot and stuff) is not Canonical?
  8. Was Herman always voiced by Wally Wingert or were there various actors doing his voice in EFMI, MI 1:SE and MI2:SE?
  9. Sorry, I've jusst finished replaying MI2, and LeChuck apperently doesn't mention Guybrush's sister in the tunnels. It's my mistake. I must have remembered it wrong.... I wholehartedly appologise for misinformation!
  10. I think it would be difficult for Ron to squeeze the entire story of RTMI between the ending of MI2 and the beggining of COMI, he must have found a way to get some more room for a good story in there. The presence of Murray confirms it.
  11. That's right! We will have two trylogies once RTMI releases! How cool! Though, i would wait with placeing the game in the series hronology, at least until it releases. Ron wasn't very specific when asked where does RTMI takes place hronologically. We only know that it starts at the amusement park, but we don't know where it ends. I wouldn't juge if it is the "true" MI3 or MI6, I would need to play through the game to asses its place in the Canon.
  12. Good points, I agree! EFMI would have been quite fine if not for the abysmal Monkey Combat/ Giant Monkey Robot/ Herman Toothrot revelation in the last section. TOMI was quite captivating and innovative! I really like Morgan... Yet TOMI suffered from the episodic format - the locations were limited and rehashed, so it lacked the feeling of being a huge piratey adventure, like the others were. I'm quite afraid that Ron might make RTMI too easy and mainstream in order to reach a broader audience. I want RTMI to be chalanging and difficult...
  13. I would be quite happy if RTMI was the last game in the series, Maybe there could be a second season of TOMI, but afterwards it should definitely be over. There is no point in turning the series into a soap opera. EFMI and TOMI showed that the series already jumped the shark to some extent....
  14. I agree, after Ron gets to tell his story, let there be Tales season 2!
  15. I still dream about the Sam and Max: Freelance Police uncancellation! Nobody can take the dream away from me!
  16. I've always liked the amusement park theme! Is seems jolly, with just a hint of the creepy LeChuck's theme underneath! When I dreamed about MI3a all these years, I've always wanted it to start with the music! This could work great too!
  17. I hope that RTMI starts with this music:
  18. i could swear that I first learned about the sister in the tunnels, but it might be that my memory is playing tricks on me...
  19. It would be great, thanks! If you find the right dialogue option, please, share it here! I'm planning to replay MI1 and MI2 myself very soon!
  20. Does he? I would need to replay MI2, but I'm quite certain that the sister is also mentioned in the tunnels...
  21. I haven't played MI2 for a long time, but I'm very certain that the sister is mentioned during Guybrush's conversation with LeChuck in the tunnels. She is mentioned in one of the dialogue options, but I don't quite remember if she is mentioned at the beggining of the last section of the game or when LeChuck lies on the floor defeated in the end. Monkey Island Wiki has this much to say: Little is known of Guybrush Threepwood's true origins. As a kid he loved to collect fireflies in a jar. He also had a Stretchy Strongman toy. He once mentioned that he (or rather his sister) owned a dolls house.
  22. A very good summary! When LeChuck reveals that he is Guybrush's brother, he also mentions that they have a sister (in one of the dialogue options). I wonder, could Elaine be the sister?
  23. I really want Ron to lay everything on the table and reveal the truth about the Secret of Momkey Island in the end. I want RTMI to be conclusive. True, Chuckies demonic stare suggests that it's all real and a part of LeChuck's evil plot. We will see how Ron resolves this. The new game can take a wide variety of paths, that's what intrgues me the most about RTMI!
  24. I personaly would love RTMI to be very meta! If the whole world of Monkey Island is located within the amusement park, then Guybrush might easily encounter elements from COMI, EFMi and TOMI while exploring the funfair. He can easily meet Murray and stuff like The Giant Monkey Robot there. Maybe he brings Murray and other elements to life with the power of his imagination. He could easily meet them in the amusement park and later use them in his future imaginary adventures. Maybe by the end of RTMI we will get a choice to leave the funfair or keep fantasizing on (this is when the COMI continuity comes into play). I would love this!
  25. I dearly hope that the Guybrush Dicknose drawing was only a joke! Otherwise RTMI will get a PG-18 rating!
