I’ll repost my question here from the spoiler thread I just rediscovered buried under a thick layer of spam topics*. (Admins please ban these two guys and set up something that won’t allow a new user to create a new topic for the first week or so). Anyway: what is the best way to play this game without breaking the bank? The last time I bought a PC with a then-top-of-the-line graphics card was in 2004 and honestly I haven’t followed the evolution since, as any average 3D card and integrated GPU run all the old games I play just fine. (Sam and Max, Brütal Legend) I don’t expect my most recent laptop (i.e. over 10 year old - which is fine for other gaming archeology like The Infernal Machine, Lego Indiana Jones, and the Emperor’s Tomb) to run the Great Circle. It may even have not enough diskspace to simply install it. I saw a gaming PC with the recommended specs (albeit on the “low“ side with an 8GB RTX4060) in a store the other day for €1600. Keyboard and mouse not included. An Xbox X was about half of that, but I’m still not paying that to play a single game. I never tried any streaming services before. Researching online I was quickly put off by all the ranting about long wait times to get on a server and the tiered subscription formulas. Given I’ll probably need a year or two to complete this game with play sessions few and far between, a subscription service sounds like a silent money drain. (It took me over 10 years to complete JK: Jedi Outcast, and I haven’t made it past the third level in the Force Awakens in the last decade). * if someone suggests a certain T*** voucher, they’ll get a punch to the nose

(Not to mention the absolute hate those services seem to get) You forgot The Last Crusade (the graphic adventure) !
