    Hmmm, strange... You can merge the .2da's manually. Have you got KotOR tool? If so go into Bodies Stay\tslpatchdata open newappearance.2da basically you need to change all of the 'fadedelayondeath' (4th column from last) in your override appearance.2da, to be the same as the newappearance.2da - hope that helps!
