I'm still in China actually, but only for another day:P It's fantastic. There's nowhere in the world that even comes close! I still have not visited Beijing, sadly, but this trip was a quick tour of several cities. My favourite places so far are the Lingyin Temple (or Six Harmony Pagoda or something like that ) and the gardens in Suzhou (built by rich people who had too much money and not much to do for entertainment). We only visited one garden (sigh!) but we bought some books with professional photographs, and they are gorgeous.

This isn't a good time to visit, as the leaves are barely changing colour. I'm guessing that the middle of spring or autumn would be ideal, although the tradeoff is that you'll be jostling for space with 397185731475034 other tourists. Well, you get the idea:P And people are ALWAYS trying to sell you things. I swear, every Chinese is a capitalist at heart.

Anyway, bottom line is, if you ever get the chance, take it. You won't regret it:)
