Yeah, it's sort've sad to see such holidays not remembered for what they are, as you said, a lot of history behind them. It's always good to remember why the special day took place as opposed to just celebrate with no knowledge as to why. The only holiday that I think justifies being at least slightly drunk, is Oktoberfest, and that's not even American, it's German{you could probably guess why they celebrate that}. So, what is your favorite holiday or any special day in particular?
