Antizac
Well, here I go jumpin' around again... I was working on the Coruscant levels, but the other day, I learned, that when making terrain maps, they don't have to be made up of patches. This whole time all I needed to do was click that damn checkbox! I can't believe I ever got along without it (Gensurf). This practically cuts my editing time in half (or more). So, in light my learning experience, here's a sneak peek, at a work-in-progress, on Level 1 of Part 2: By the way, this is only a couple hours of work right here: and Finally here's a little overhead view map of what the village does (and will) look like, and how it fits with the "Medieval Town"... Eldritch
I would use Rgoer's tutorial on meta phong shaded terrain (located in his thread on this forum) to mix some different textures in with the terrain you've got going now. The grass could do with some variation, as could the rock walls. Not bad for a start, though.
Antizac
Well, I tried, but EasyGen keeps crashing on me when I load my textures. So, I'm gonna use a different method, that's just as effective... I'll have that showcased....sometime soon. =)
Antizac
Well, for the sake of wasting time (and learning how to use my new video editor)... ...I made a trailer... A really crappy teaser trailer... about 25 seconds of sheer fade-in-fade-out, magic. (with Music, dubbed, mind you.) It's supposed to set the mood for Part 1 of The Rising Empire[i/]... The best part, I think, is the music, which is taken from Shadows of the Empire soundtrack (not the game, the ACTUAL soundtrack.). So is it worth downlading? I dunno. It's 25 seconds long, and 1.75Mb. You decide. Get the trailer here.... The trailer is encoded with version 5.05, of the Divx Codec... If you don't have it, get it at the link, below. http://www.divx.com/divx/
Eldritch
It's a good teaser - what else can I say? More action next time!
