Did you miss me? Just logging into my name after all this time has sent goosebumps down my left pinky toe and a cold, maniacal laugh up my throat. Now the neighbors are knocking on the door with pitchforks. Damn it. I promised I wouldn't laugh like that anymore.

The reason I left, you see, was because my unknown enemy was getting closer to killing me with every post...even though I hadn't posted many...but I needed to keep myself safe...

But this morning I woke up, put on my favorite plaid shorts, and headed downstairs to eat some lucky charms, when I heard a booming voice echo around my skull, causing a minor headache. But the information that the voice was delivering was so worth it. "Ahem...is this thing on?" it asked. It is possible that, had I been at the Great Alaskan Jumping Fair at that moment, I would have won a prize, because the voice startled me like nothing else ever had. "Okay...uh...anyway...I'm here to tell you that you're safe..."

"Who- who- who is this?"

"It's me, Jim."

"Jim?"

"Yeah, your old pal Jim."

"I don't know a Jim."

"Yes you do. Shut up. I've got news for you."

"News?"

"News about your old enemy."

"Ah, the one from the Monkey Island Discussion Forums."

"Exactly."

"What might this news be?"

"You are safe from the enemy...for now. Feel free to log on to the message boards and chat away."

"But how will I know when I'm not safe anymore?"

"Trust me...you'll know."

The voice was gone suddenly. I decided to trust it and sign in...but I'm taking a risk...hello again, everyone. I'm back.
