Crimson5
In Some parts of the demo it goes very slow and i can barely play any suggestions on how i might fix it.
Greymon
In the game, go to the Setup options and do these: Disable force feedback (helps some people but not all). Disable dynamic glows. Disable Detailed shaders. Reduce color depth. Reduce texture detail. Reduce geometric detail. Lower your resolution (game will get ugly if you go below 800x600). Try those in steps in that order. The more of that stuff you do, the less pretty the game will look. You might also try updating your video drivers.

Greymon
Windu if you want good picture quality and faster play, buy a new computer and/or video card.
Kurgan
Run the system analyzer program that installed with the Demo (check your "install" folder). This will check your DirectX and Video drivers and tell you if you need to update anything (be sure to hit advanced and run all the tests to see if you get any errors). Good luck! Also you might try the following in your console (may or may not help you): com_hunkmegs "128" (I put 128 because I have 256 mb of ram. Put in half of whatever you have. 64 is the default IIRC). You can add a line to your config file like this: seta com_hunkmegs "128"
Greymon
Kurgan I'd never seen that command before so I thought I'd try it. It doesn't seem to be right. I typed that in console and get an Unknown Command.
Andy867
Make sure not to put the quotation marks around the 128 when typing it in... Also, make sure to download the latest video and sound card drivers for your particular cards. If its a GeForce/Riva Card from nvidia or any nvidia card, go to http://www.nvidia.com and download the latest Detonator FX drivers for your operating system. If its a Radeon or Rage card from ATI, go to http://www.ati.com and download the latest (3.7 i believe is the latest) Catalyst drivers.
Kurgan
I'm sorry, I should have said not to use quotes. The quotes are only if you put it in your cfg file, thanks for the correction Andy!
Greymon
I didnt use quotes. Thats not the prob. The game is not recognizing the command: com_hunkmegs. Are you sure its spelled like that?
Kurgan
type this in your console: com_hunkmegs 128 (or change the number to whatever half your total ram would be)
