markdelete
i cant even run the single player mode on even the lowest setting when i have my lightsaber out. picking up any weapon makes the whole game lag. in first person mode the game is ok as long as NO ONE has a lightsaber. has anyone dealt with this? in multiplayer the games runs great. lightsabers a plenty with effects on and decent screen res. i just dont get it. any help is much appreciated. -mark-
Kurgan
Turn off dynamic glow. Turn off FF (Force Feedback). Turn off detailed shaders. Turn off EAX. Turn Anisotrophic filtering (or whatever it's called) completely off (all the way to the left) Change sound quality to "Low" if given this option. Change shadows to "Simple." Run the System Analyzer program that came with the game and make sure you pass everything, then run the advanced part and run all the tests. Make sure all your drivers are correct and no errors. That should help solve most lag problems.
Dizzy
I've got shadows, dynamic light and glow all off and the game runs smooth as silk. I don't even notice they're gone really.
Elegy
Oh, man! I've been having the same exact problem, too! None of the above worked until I finally disabled that force feedback. I'm going to re-enable all that other stuff again and see how it performs. I suspect, that at least in my case, the force feedback had been the culprit all along. angryred
Ya, force feedback was what was getting me. Amazing Stutter-Vision!
