Darth Eggplant Posted September 20, 2003 Share Posted September 20, 2003 UTINNI! many of us have seen Star Wars episode IV many, many times, today I discovered new found appreciation for the garbage compactor sceen. I got to play jawa today at work, all day scrap and loas the sandcrawler; then off to the dump, or sanitation transfer station, or whatever they call them. anyhow from inside a U-Haul Cube truck, we (the man I work for, and myself) started chucking stuff into the giant pile. we had a few appliances, we started with a big freezer. the freezer itself just got pushed off the truck so it went plunk, boom . the freezer's lid, (which we took off earlier, we both grabbed and frizbeed it way into the pile.) then a city employee came and told us that appliances had to go to another transfer station, so we put the freezer back on the truck. when we were finished the employee told us we had to take the freezer lid too. (it could not stay there) so i had to climb, and wade in\on\and over garbage to get the lid, to bring it back to the truck. *needless to say when the work day ended I walked quite a bit of the way home in the rain to unstinkify me before going home.
