stbf
JA wasn't compatable with my 44.03 detonator drivers. I had to revert to the 30.82 driver pack and I'll be darned, the sucker ran just freakin faster than shizznit. A patch to fix this would be fantastic. LainTora
stbf: Did you try nVidia's v.45.23 drivers (the most current as of this post)? Those are suppose to be compatible with DirectX 9 better than previous Detonator packs.
.:Silver:.
It's not your drivers. It's the new security method used on the CD. You either have to use a "no CD" hack or wait for a patch. Since I bought the game, I chose the former. There are links in the forum below telling you how to proceed.
LainTora
Silver: You are correct about it being the new CD protection program. Not sure why it doesn't affect everyone, but this post is where I posted all my troubleshooting when I was working with LucasArts tech. support. The happy ending is that for me to play SP, they sent me a new JASP.EXE file. It is still in testing but it worked. It still checks to see if the CD is there BUT it doesn't cause errors for me. Caver
For anyone getting the blue screen fatal exception error when trying to start a single player game, try starting a single player game but leave the CD out of the drive. It will pop up a box telling you to put CD1 in. Do so and wait a few seconds and click OK. You should be fine after that. Out of curiosity, how many with this error have their CD drives as F: rather than D: or E: ?
LainTora
Hello, Caver, I got my SP working due to working with LucasArts and having them send me a new EXE, however, my CD-ROM drive is the letter "H". You may be on to something. If others respond, perhaps I should let LucasArts know.
stbf
I downloaded the 45.xx version of the detonator drivers, but they caused a bigger problem, i'd see my desktop for about 4 seconds, then i'd see my bios again. so I am stuck with the 44.03 until they release the 46.xx version. I don't know that the drivers themselves are causing the conflict with JA but I'm pretty sure that JA isn't compatable with them. For now I will just spend time rolling back my drivers for JA and then re-updating for Raven Shield (which runs with NO PROBLEMS on the 44.03 detonator drivers).
