When I saw the title of this thread I thought "mmmmm, this should be interesting"

I was not disappointed - the "my ones bigger/faster/meaner than yours" was soon overtaken by "my brother's girlfriend's milkman knows someone who's going to order ........." Then comes the inverted snobbery of "I'm running MI2 on a Sinclair 48k" - all brilliant stuff :D

I think we should stick to less controversial topics - how about XBOX rulez, PS2 is Crap and Gamecube is for kiddies - discuss :D :D ;)

What about a combination of all three? Would that not provide even more staisfaction?

Main System:

Athlon XP 2100+ Pally core running 2.2ghz @ 1.9V

Radeon 9800Pro 256mb (stock speeds so I can trade up to the XT with a cleaner conscience)

1.5gb pc 2700 running at ddr 400 speeds

2 80gig hard drives in raid 0 and another 120gb

sony 4x dvd+/- rw drive

mitsubishi 18 inch digital LCD

Win 98/dos box:

486DX2-66mhz

8mb EDO ram (4 2mb sticks)

210mb hdd

20 gig hdd

5.25in floppy

This guy doesn't get too much use these days, but its always there for nostalgic reasons.

Mac box:

Performa 575- 33mhz

4mb ram

320mb hdd

Used for the PowerPC native talkie versions of classic LEC games.

Soon to be:

Pentium 4 3.0c @ 3.4-3.5ghz, higher the better

1gig pc 3200 dual channel running 400-433 speeds

SATA raid array between 300-400 gigs

Radeon 9800 xt then whatever ATI brings to the table afterwards.

As you can see... I am a nerd.

You should see the version of this thread in The Swamp (Star Wars off-topic forum). It's just like this one - except without the inverted snobbery. Whoever said Star Wars fans were insecure? ¬

i had 2.5 mb in my amiga.. with 1mb chipmem!! :)

the amiga emulator does it to 10mb :D

get an emulator and try to gain a used copy of mi1 and 2 somewhere.. then you can play the amiga versions of it.. ;) the sound is much better then thar in the pc versions. (except for the cd version..) .. but maniac mansion, zak, loom, and indy 3 + 4 definitly have better sound!
