ShadowTrooper
Any chance you guys will be adding TIE pilots to say, the Executor's hangar? I totally have no clue how you'll add in the launching TIEs, but whatever you do I'm sure it will be amazing
TK-8252
I'd like to see TIE Fighter Pilots, especially with my new reskin. (Psst... check it out at http://tk8252.clanlc.com and then rate it at http://pcgamemods.com/2536/!) But I am one of those few who want the mod be kept as accurate to the original as possible. Master Toddy
No. They weren't in the original game so they shouldn't be in the mod. I don't mind them changing architexture, but they shouldn't have enemies that weren't in the original game, because then it wouldn't really feel like the original Dark Forces. Same goes with weapons - no weapons that weren't in the original game.
ShadowTrooper
Well, I mean, in the TIE hangar, it would kinda make sense; they only have regular pistols, and I think there's an officer or two in that room. It's not like it's adding Reborn with lightsabers into the level
Algardex
Tie pilots would be a nice addition and I think that some imperial engineers/workers would also fit in gromas.
TK-8252
Noooo!!!! Don't put Imperial Workers in! That, IMO would really make the mod too far from the original Dark Forces. Imperial Workers weren't even seen in the trilogy, I'm replacing them in Jedi Academy ASAP. I mean, does anyone really like those Imperial Workers? Fracman
Imperial workers weren't in the movie because there was nothing to repair, or there were always Darth Vader and the Imperator, and they just can't stand workers at all Use your spectacles, your certainly could see some workers on the Death Star II No workers!? Huh! Simply not true... what about barkeepers, musicians, dancers, robot dismantelers (Bespin), soldiers, robots... sounds to me like there were any workers in the movies ;-) Joke aside, we're not doing a total conversion of DF, that means we're keeping the right to add here and there objects and characters where we think they fit well, thus bringing more life and realism to the scene. We'll certainly stay as close as possible to DF, but a Tie hangar without Tie pilot is like Hoth without Snowtroopers - it's simply not realistic. KillerEwok
I agree with Fracman this MOD shouldn’t be totaly exact to the original. This Mod shouldn't just be about recreating the game, it should try and enhance it and add things that might not have been possible back when dark forces came out. Just as long as the things added fit in with the game and the changes made are sensible and dont totaly change the game or make it less fun. ShadowTrooper
So in other words...there might be TIE pilots? Caloo, Callay! Oh Frabtrious Joy! Nevermind
eelektrik
Im all for adding new enemies where they make sense, like he proposed Coruscant Guards(Red armor troopers from Shadows of the Empire) on the Coruscant level on another thread, or Tie pilots in the hanger... it makes sense, I dont see why they shouldnt be added... Benevolence
I think it would be appropriate for some Tie Pilots in the mod, especially since in the Executor there are hangers where Tie Fighters are launching and coming back into the hanger. I'd even like to re-introduce the airlock controls in JO on the doomgiver and flush some storm troopers (and tie pilots) into space (Of course I don't speak for the team on this... yet j/k) Ben

They all had the Imperial Officer style hat. Heh, that thing that shot C-3PO on Bespin was a Stormtrooper.
Fracman
No, I didn't mean the ST who shot C3-PO, I meant those pignose creatures who throw the waste into the central heating, where Chewie tries to catch C3-POs head.
Tesla
Uganaughts (sp) you mean. There in JO on the first Bespin Level, and in ESB, they operate those Carbonite Chambers as well as other stuff on Bespin.
TK-8252
It's Ugnaught The workers I mentioned are these guys: Other: Last one (the guys in black): Hopefully, a skin can be made of these guys, and I'll have a skin for Imperial Worker 1, 2, and 3. ShadowTrooper
There could be more than one type of worker..... maybe only scanning crews dress like that, or only crewmen in the pits wear those uniforms. Keep in mind there's like 37,000 people on a Star Destroyer, they're going to have a lot of sub groups. Also, they could be radiation suits; if you have the Death Star technical companion, they have drawing of maintenance crews who have helmets vaguely similar. Although you can't take the RPG stuff at face value; they have naval troopers only armed with pistols, but anyone who watches Empire Stirkes Back can clearly see that the Naval troopers have blaster rifles. The only time I actually saw Navy Troopers with weapons was in the ANH Death Star detention block, and most carried BlasTech DH-17 Blaster Pistols, and one had a BlasTech E-11 Blaster Rifle. In RotJ, they supposedly had large laser rifles? I never saw them use large rifles. Anyway, yeah, there would be many different kinds of workers, and probably 2/3 or them were never even seen in the movies. Wow, this thread is off-topic! Thanks for the info! I never knew that those guys at attention for the emperor were pilots out of their gear. I always thought they were a worker of some kind. But when you think about it, their uniform does seem exactly the same as that of the TIE Fighter Pilot.

Can be downloaded here: http://www.pcgamemods.com/4655/ I don't mean to put you down, but that looks more like an Imperial NCO (Noncommissioned Officer.) than a TIE Pilot in dress uniform. This is the NCO: http://www.theforce.net/swtc/Pix/zs/rotj/pettyoff1.jpg TIE Pilots wear a jumpsuit, not an officer's tunic. They also have a comlink on their left arm, like this: http://www.tk8252.clanlc.com./images/Pilot3.jpg Originally posted by AlphaleX You have skins for the three imperial workers? How I can download that? Since there is only one Imperial Worker NPC placed in Jedi Academy maps, I've decided to can the scanning and communication technitions and just make the general purpose black-uniformed worker seen throughout the movies, such as these two fellows: http://decipher.com/starwars/cardlists/dagobah/dark/images/corporalderdram.gif http://decipher.com/starwars/cardlists/cloudcity/dark/large/chiefretwin.html He won't be up for download for a while, he'll be part of a large Jedi Academy fix-up mod I've been working on for a while now.
