shinji2002 Posted October 18, 2003 Share Posted October 18, 2003 when ever i try to re-install this game it asks me if i want to completly remove every thing from the game folder. and doesn't ask me if i want to install. it didn't uninstall right last time and thinks it's still on my computer.oh and when i put in the disk it asks if i want to play a mp or sp game and under options it says uninstall. is there a way to get rid of anything that is left over from the game on my comp? shinji2002 Posted October 18, 2003 Author Share Posted October 18, 2003 for some reason add/remove doesn't work anymore:( but the same thing happend to me with medal of honor and someone told me to use the "run" thing in the start up bar but i don't know how that works. Andy867 Posted October 18, 2003 Share Posted October 18, 2003 Try manually removing the files and then download RegCleaner, this will remove any references to Jedi Academy left over from the previous install which may be causing the re-installation problem. Astrotoy7 Posted October 19, 2003 Share Posted October 19, 2003 make copies of your saves into another folder/directory. then when the prompt "do you want to remove saved games and configuration files" comes up - say YES! THEN go into your Lucasarts directory and get rid of the jedi academy folder alltogether Now re-install, if you still got probs, try regcleaner as mentioned or an uninstaller program....... some mods/patches that float in your JA folder still cause probs at a syatem level, get rid of them too first and see how you go.......
