As many of you know, I'm a Legacy of Kain fanatic. As many of you don't know, there is another game coming out for the series called Legacy of Kain: Defiance. It is set to be released in one(1) month from this date (10-19-03).This is the home page. There are many other pages with reference to the game listed below.

I've had my copy reserved for 3 months now.

...okey...1 reply. Nice. Well, I'm still going strong hoping some other people will take notice of this game.

Legacy of Kain: Defiance has gone gold recently.

There is no demo planned on being released, so teasers are stuck in trailers(how I think ALL games should be).

In a recent interview Riley Cooper, the game's lead designer, he said:

there’s something in it for everyone. If you like combat and don’t like story, you can develop many different ways of fighting that are creatively catastrophic while skipping the story cinematics. Conversely if you’re most interested in the story, and not as much the combat, you can use simpler techniques to defeat enemies, and can watch and rewatch the story cinematics to your hearts content. That and all users should enjoy the games great graphics.

Christ Bruno, the Test Manager at Crystal Dynamics said

There is one more planned, but nothing officially announced.

They've had the same cast since Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain in 1996 with a few additions for Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver.

Michael Bell returns as the voice of Raziel. A veteran voice actor with a list of credits a mile long, Michael is perhaps best known for his roles in Rugrats, The Smurfs, Transformers, and G.I. Joe.

Simon Templeman reprises the role of Kain, which he has played since 1996's Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, the first game in the series

Richard Doyle returns as the voice of Moebius, a character he has portrayed since the beginning of the series.

Tony Jay reprises his role as the Elder God. Tony is probably best known to contemporary audiences for his role as Judge Frollo in Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and as the voice of Megabyte in Reboot.

Rene Auberjonois returns as the voice of Janos Audron. A Tony Award winning stage actor, Rene is well known for his long-time role as Constable Odo on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Paul Lukather rejoins the cast in the role of Vorador, the character he portrayed in Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain.

Anna Gunn returns in the role of Ariel, whom she has portrayed since the beginning of the series.

Alot of these cast members have had rather large careers as you can see. It isn't commercilized like most of Eidos' other products (ie: Hitman, Tomb Raider, Theif), but I feel it has more to it than that (unlike Tomb Raider which really only appeals to boys who wanna spank it and Hitman for the trigger happy luny bin out there*actually a great game to vent with*). Give the series a shot if you haven't already. Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain is old so you can find it cheap, Soul Reaver is a greatest hit for PS, so its cheap. Soul Reaver 2 is a great game anyways, and I wouldn't really recomend Blood Omen 2 unless you really get into the story and want to know more about Kain.

Well, thats my rant for now. I've already posted links to great Legacy of Kain sites including the official page from Eidos. Don't diss on this game unless you've played atleast Blood Omen 1 andn Soul Reaver 1. If you didn't like those, then its okay. This is a great series of games that you shouldn't bash until you've tried it.
