Matrix Effects in Episode III

The Cheat

Well the Matrix effects look really good.

I think we are all a bit disappointed that Star Wars effects just seem not too wow us as the likes of the Matrix and Kill BIll (which i'm sure a lot of u aren't old enough to see :) ... We wouldnt want persay the Matrix effects in Star Wars ideally...but we want something that is better than we've seen and on the same par or better than what we've seen in the Matrix and other special effects martial arts films.

I think the main problem with Star Wars is that the feats the Jedi do really aren't that impressive when compared to Matrix and Kill Bill where much more impressive looking things are done.

If i hadn't read Shatterpoint, to b honest i'd think the Jedi abilities were a bit tame, and thats b/c Mr Lucas i think tried too hard not to over-emphasize their abilities, and so ended up weaken their ability.

Read Shatterpoint --- and if they could present teh action scenes narrated there...it would be even more impressive than the Matrix etc

Dam you people don't you know that the lightsaber techniches are not tame they just seem that way to us now becuse of the Matrix the thing is look at it this way THE STAR WARS SERIS US OUT BEFORE EVEN THE FRIST MATRIX and back then the few people with lightsabers in the old seris did not even have special techniches they would most of the time twirl around and start hacking at each other but people loved it any way becuse it was the frist time they have even seen any thing like it but now when ever a sci-fci movie comes out we have to compare it to the Matrix it simply comes down to this the Matrix is the Matrix and Star Wars is Star Wars ok.:sprobe::evil6: :evil6: :evil6: :evil6: :evil6: :evil6: :evil6: :evil6: :evil6:

Oh we know that, and we agree...but with staying in the past, I DO NOT

WE want Star Wars to be even more amazing, and at the moment it looks a bit tame and not at the cutting edge, a standard we've comin to expect of Star Wars and wish to remain...i know its not all action and everything...but the way i understand the force, the Jedi can be a lot more impressive

Progress is the word, read shatterpoint... thats more like it.

I think what is missing in a lot of action scenes today is a deep emotional element that serves to give the showy action on the screen a purpose. In the classic trilogy, the lightsaber battles were fantastic not because they had state-of-the-art choreography but because they had a feeling, a purpose behind them and the characters in the fight, which I feel is sort of lacking in many of today's top movies (w/ exception of LOTR). If Lucas can put more of this emotional element into Episode III, then I think he's got a winner.
