Tim mailed you back seriously?

I was just on another forum, oddly enough, asking about immigration to the US, and was told I'd need to sort out a job or something before I went over. I was considering asking Double Fine (Not for a job, silly.. to ask about how it actually really works) but I figured... you know.

So when I get a degree, I can move over to the US? Or do I have to get the degree, ensure a job and then I can move over? How does it work?

Its something along the line of, you have to have work visa to come and work here and live here for a set amount of time , and then your employer can get you a green card so you can stay longer than your visa origianally allowed, which kind of gives you sort of permission to be here indefinatly but not be a citizen, but if you marry someone from the US you become a citizen automatically. Or something like that.

You don't actually need a job before you come over I don't think, but you have to have a visa to be able to get a job when you get here.

You get a J1 Visa in college in Ireland. So using my J1 visa I could travel to the US, and 'shop around' with my portfolio, looking for a place to sponser me to get a working visa? Ja?

Yep. Tim e-mailed me and was really cool. Said to drop by DoubleFine if I'm ever in San Fran.

As far as I know, you have to have a degree in a field that America is severly lacking in, but over in the good ol' US of A they value British degrees more than they're valued over here and more than they value American degrees, so I guess that can only work in your favour.

Tim also did say to me, to get a job over there you really do have to prove there is no-one else who can do that job who is available in the country, so that's a toughie.

Yufster, I think we should sneak aboard a plane headed to San Fran after we're both finished up at Uni.

TIM WILL SAVE US!

I don't know. He can't just go around sponsering people for working visas all over the place. Although at this stage I'm thinking it's all I can do. As in, ask.

Emma, I truly hope we do meet up in the future in San Fran. Me, Andy, Orca and Emma. That has such a ring to it.

Salks, Andy, Emma and Orca.

On my J1 visa I hope to go to San Fran for a while, and fully plan to drop in on Double Fine. At this stage, I think they are afraid of me. Well me and Andy, anyway.

Speaking of which, Andy, I think we should you know.... you know...?

*sigh*

I do know. I deserve fear. Well, maybe not, but I WISH. Poor unfeared me!

Tell them? HOW?

EDIT: Yufster! This thread! It's officially over! There's no Andy to speak of!

I do! Where have you BEEN? Yeah, I changed the pictures...check out my location! Aren't you jealous? :p

Oh...how's BR doing? Did you get that stuff done on time?

I've been at school, or working on projects, or working on BR. Realllll busy :(

I am very jealous of your location. However, I am INSIDE The EXCELLENT GAME PSYCHONAUTS. Lungfishopolis is a location you see, in Psychonauts.
