midguard Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 Sometimes during a level, the game exits the level which I'm playing and gives the following error message: Error: CM_LeafArea: bad number I click on okay and then reload the level from my autosave/checkpoint. Sometimes I get the same error a couple of times throughout a level (not all of them), and the game freezes, freezing up my computer as well, meaning that I have to restart the computer and game. I've got all the latest drivers as well as Service Pack 1a (Win XP) I have also tried changing the video options to no shadows, bilinear filtering, antialiasing, basically decreasing the game settings, but to no avail. Has anyone else had the same problems as I have? Have you managed to fix the problem? (I'm playing with the original CD - no cracks etc. - ) If so what would be the solution? Patch? If not what? I would really be grateful if someone could help me out, which might even solve one of the problems with the game
Prime Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 Hmmm. I haven't heard of this one before. You might try the troubleshooting forum or the bug thread and see if anyone else has encountered this problem. Good luck!
