*sigh* Missions sucks

Ok... There is missons to do in SWG, allright, and it never ends and it can never end. But what kind of missions is there anyway? It is always the same thing! Go deliver this to him, go and destroy the base and get your reward!

Is this the only kind of quests you get in the game? Or will it be better as you advance?

I know alot of MMORPG are the same. I was hoping that SWG would be different. I like to shoot and I like to kill thats my play style I admit that. And thats why I don't wanna be an entertainer or medic.

But the thing is it is allways the same over and over again in SWG too.

I was hoping there were missions like "Go and investigate the old temple of "something" and find out what happend to the 3000 years old woman who lived there. And as a killer and fighter I can kill stuff along my way to the castle and in the castle. It is still slaying and get XP for it but in a much more interesting way!

Is the game going to be better at this point or is the game better as you advance?

More interesting missons!

Oh! And another thing! Rewards. There would be much more fun with quests where you get a reward as a new nice Pistol or Rifle.

Like this:

You get a quest where you are suppouse to search an old ruin building in a mysterious place on Tatooie. You will encounter monsters on your way and you will have to fight them. The ruin will take you deep down under the ground and finaly you find this black medalion or something. You pick it up and go back to the NPC or whatever you got your quest from. And instead of Credits you maybe get a new nice weapon for a change.

A nice reward and a much more interesting mission.

Is there any kind of these type of missions (not rewards) in SWG at all. That is my big question. And if you say "No" well... will there be any in the future?

More Interesting missions!!

Yeah unfortunatelly you're right about the repetetive destroy/deliver missions. I was a BH and that was a little more interesting. I guess the group hunts make up for that part. I enjoyed doing really difficult missions on Endor with friends.

The reason they don't give you good rewards from NPCs or missions is because they want players to be dependant on the crafters and vice versa. Not a bad idea, though they should make it that you /loot better components like valuable rifle parts for a certain weapon.

Theme parks can be a nice change. I did Jabba's which I thought was fun and the Emperors retreat which gave me good faction points. Some of them are worth doing.

There are, however, rare items that can be looted now from certain creatures and NPCs. Jawas are said to drop red crystals (for lightsabers) and some even drop rare weapons too. My friend got a Scout pistol that does poison damage too.

Oops.........I just put a red crystal up for sale for a few hundred credits 'cos it didn't seem to do anything? I might withdraw that sale now, then?

I agree about the missions being repetitive - my problem isn't the repetitiveness, or the fact the looting ain't great..........it's the money you gain in the first place..............

The rewards are always around the 1k mark (on Corellia). Even though I've greatly improved over the last couple of weeks from having no skills to being master marksman the rewards have stayed around the same amount?

.........and I'm not good enough to take on missions to Endor or Dathomir yet, before anyone mentions it. :p

As for being repetitive - that's the reason you can choose the other professions.........to change things a bit........such as smuggler, BH...........or choreographer?

I like the idea about changing the mission rewards around a little.I figure if I am fighting a swooper or pirate or thug that shoots at me then when i loot his corpse i should find a weopon a piece of armor. unless iam so good a shot that i hit his weopon and destroy it. But add missions for artisans lets say you have to find a certain specialist that designed this great scope or barrel or part for a weapon. you must assist him in his shop for a time period showing your artisan skills. He gives you a special schematic for a design of a weapon with 10 pieces. The pieces all increase the effectiveness of that weapon. An elite CDEF that hits for 30% better than any other cdef sliced or not. Same for pistols and all weapons. Nothing that would throw off the balance. and can only be built by hand one at a time. Scout is hunting takes down lets say a bocatt. This bocatt seems a lot tougher upon taking him down you harvest say his meat. You get a message you've killed the pack leader And you recieve his tooth that can be used to design a necklace to protect against mild poison. This can go up for all dangerous creatures. Or you could sell to a bio engineer for him to help design a new beast.:fett:
