yes the LF forum members,

this thread is for our mods and super mods.

 

I have said it before and I will say it again

(and yes I hear those of you out there complaining

and just disagreeing cause you feel you have to)

there is no 'US' and 'THEM' on these forums.

sure their are "US" as in U.S.A, American LF forum members,

but their are no "THEM"bers, LF forum members.

mods are LF community forum members just like you and I.

they post, they have post counts, they respond to posts,

they start threads, they make pithy comments,

sometimes they agree with what you post,

sometimes they do not.

sometimes "YOU" like what they post,

and sometimes "YOU" do not.

 

and that in a nut shell is that.

 

mods are your peers.

they are people, just like you.

they are not the enemy,

and should not be treated with hostile intent.

they have lives, wives, husbands, girl friends,

boy friends, etc... (just like you)

they attend school, (like you)

they have jobs and careers (like some of you do)

and they have good days and bad days,

and sometimes they don't feel well,

but they 'do feel' and they 'have feelings';

just like "YOU & I"

and they are LF forum community forum members;

just like "YOU & I"

and the rules and regulations of the LF forums apply

to all of us.

 

and that from a nut case like me, is that.

 

I still read posts from 'some' forum members

'a select few' (old an new alike) and I catch them saying:

 

watch what you post a mod might be watching.

 

or make sure it is in good taste,

or a mod might shut this thread down.

 

or don't post that cause it might make a mod mad.

 

good substance, great sentiments, but bad forum.

all the right choices but for all the wrong reasons.

try instead rethinking and rewording, and say instead:

 

watch what you post,

because LF forum members will be watching.

 

make sure it is in good taste, because do you really

want to offend your fellow LF forum members and friends?

 

don't post that cause, it might make someone mad

and really hurt their feelings, and how would you feel

if someone did that to you?

 

mods, super mods and admins exist within these LF forums

for a reason, they are like sentient programs working in the background, just like in the matrix. only unlike the programs

in the matrix, the really good ones are there all the time for you.

they laugh and joke and PM you, they chat on messenger, and go on irc too. they like to do everything you do, cause they started as mere members just like you did. and they are still LF forum members just like you are. they are not just bots on some

server; they plug into the matrix just like you do.

and they do not get paid to mod or admin these forums,

they do so cause, they want to be here. as do (or should) we all.

 

now saddly, there can only be a finite number of mods, super mods and admins within the system, so if you never, ever get to be a mod, you will just have to live with it, and carry on posting; or else go somewhere and start your own forum community.

(I hope you did not join the LF forum community for the sole purpose of becoming a mod) some of you may have cyber ambitions and delusions of granduer;

fortunately I'm just an eggplant.

People make mods sound liek abd people. The only bad mod I know is jed, because hes such an ass.....

just out of my mouth, exept I dont care for writing that long, and I would have said it in an totally different way. anyways if you should follow the Matrix metafore, they would be like human agents that only chase you when you do something really wrong.

 

but that doesnt sound very right, cause the freed people IS doing something very wrong in their eyes, so just forget what I said.
