Lime-Light
I was reading 1984 the other day and started thinking about the concept of reality and memory. Is what is Real merely a matter of perception? If my friend and I both say we remember me levitating off the ground and truly believing that memory, does that make it true? Or, even more radical, is each person a self-contained Reality? Is everything merely a construction of one's own mind and nothing out of that perception is actually existing? In otherwords, is there no stimuli outside of one's own conciousness? Maybe everyone and everything is a construct of someone else's perception, but that perception is infinite so that everything that exists, exists for the reason that it can be percieved by that someone? Whoa......anyway, what's everyone's opinion on reality?

Houmuncul and I (and a little Jah Warrior too ) have discussed this in rather great length here: Philosophy revival. I don't know if you're interested enough to read through it all, but it's there .
