Clemme w/Stick Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 I think I might need to update my drivers for my graphics card, but I'm not sure sinceI havent gotten the game yet. Heres a link to my graphics card: Click here. I have either the MX 440 or the 460, not sure though. I think its the 440. I havent updated my drivers yet, so thats why I'm asking. Also do you think the game will run good on my PC? Heres the specs: XP 1800+ (1533) 256 MB DDR Ram Geforce 4 MX 440 (64 MB) (Not sure) Well, should I update or not? I'm gonna put in some more ram, so that I'll hit the recommended. Plz help me out here. -Clemme
Darth MarcII Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 Can never hurt to update your drivers, epecially on the Geforce and ATI cards because they are driver intensive.
Astrotoy7 Posted December 6, 2003 Posted December 6, 2003 There is a utility that comes with KOTOR that analyzes your specs....... unless you can find that specifically then its probably just best to go to the 'XP Game advisor", plug in KOTOR and let it analyse your specs....see how you go..... I recommend, as most important 128 mb video ram with a supported graphics card at least 512ram MTFBWYA
Tito Posted December 7, 2003 Posted December 7, 2003 I have a 1ghz Duron, 512mb RAM and a GeForce 3, and the game runs smoothly 95% of the time on Medium Detail, running in an 800x600 resolution (though I DID have to update my drivers at nvidia.com)... That should get a somewhat clear perspective on wether or not you should upgrade your pc I guess (if you were thinking about doing that)!
