GrimYetCheerful
Hey folks, I haven't been able to get my hands on the PC version of the game yet, but can you tell me whether... the boxed contents of this game live upto the standards of previous bioware RPGs? How is the manual? is it in colour? is there jewel case? or did they opt for paper envelopes as a lot of other companies these days? any other goodies inside the box? cheers. Astrotoy7
Well I am only referring to the Australian release version, which came out TODAY..... the 4 discs are in a dvd style case. The Manual is in B&W, but a color version gets installed with the game... No other goodies...nothing will ever beat the JO tin, poster and t-shirt deal....... and the figurine that came with JA was a waste of plastic IMHO MTFWBYA
GrimYetCheerful
Seems alright... nothing too spectacular, but I suppose they leave the spectacularity for the game. JO had a fantastic box, completely blew me away. Lucasarts have always tried to keep a high standard in regards to the out-of-box experience. Curse of Monkey Island and Grim Fandango had great manuals. Bioware recently shocked me (in a good way) with the packaging of Baldur's Gate 2. They had a huge ring bound 200 page manual - very detailed, with great commentry by two characters throughout the maunal - they also included a cloth - yep cloth! - map of the game world. Blizzard's packaging is always a joy. I got the special edition box for warcraftIII and boy does that go down as one of the greatest out-of-box feats ever. I can't say I'm too happy about the recent trend to skimp out on this stuff. Many distributors are sending games with multiple CDs in paper envelopes and skimpy manuals, tucked away in the CD jewel case. Well so far the kotor boxing sounds reasonable. Can't wait to get my copy of it. cheers.
eidospsogos
well the us version's manual is coil bound, and in full color. the game disks are in the traditional 4 disk jewel case that opens on both sides. nothing spectacular, but nothing in cheap cd envelopes with a photocopied manual either. regardless of what's in the box, i suggest you buy the game. it's absolutely great. best game i've played in years. eidospsogos
i correct myself, it's actually wire-o binding. not that most would know the difference anyway.

GrimYetCheerful
PLEASE !! PLEASE !!! don't tell me that I'm going to get stuck with a B&W manual instead of that gorgeous manual right there. distributors must pay more attention to this stuff. As much as people say about Apple computers, they have perfected the out-of-box experience. That feeling you get when you open an Apple product is unrivalled. Even though it doesn't count for much for the product itself... it goes a long way to show the customer that they really do care about the little details. After those scans (thanks fisher), I really hope I end up with that manual. They better not have screwed all us aussies over. cheers.

Hi GrimYC... **(Cheers to a fellow Aussie !!)** Mate, I hate to say it but yes, if you're in Australia you're going to end up with a shyte B&W manual....... The cover is the same though, Blame EA, they are LA's aussie distributors..... I hardly read manuals, and since there is one on the disk I really couldnt care less. I wouldve loved a Tshirt. But remember, with 4 discs, the game is already going to be expensive as it is. The more knick knacks they throw in the higher the cost is going to be,,,,, MTFBWYA
