This game SSOOOOOO ROCKS......40+ hrs so far... having a problem after SAUL captures us...screen goes black and never comes back up....EVER!!! what going on?

I was wondering where you were, probably playing FFx-2 I imagined, since it has been released in the U.S...that's if you actually are in the US !!!! We wont get it here in australia til Feb

Yeah, KOTOR is just amazing. Brilliant storyline and cool gameplay. VERY addictive. Say goodbye to JA, which seems downright boring and bland in comparison, I'm sorry to say..... read my sig for what I think about JA nowadays....

It usually takes me forever to finish a game but I finished KotOR in less than a week and that is through using up every available moment of free time. It is that good.

 

And the crazy part is that now I'm going to go back and re-play the entire game as a light-side Jedi because it really is that replayable. The endings are very different depending on which path you take.

did they have to tell you why malak's jaw is gone? thought that was something that was common knowledge about the dark side of the force. it causes your body to decay. to rot away. like the emperor, like vader etc etc.

 

and i am imagining from your discussions with malak they fell to the darkside the way anyone else did, they craved power.....

Ok... like you've ALL said very thoroughly... this game is addictive. There's soooooooo much to do and sooooooo many different ways to go about doing them. The second time around, if not the first, you WILL begin to care for your "groupies". There's some cool stuff you can do in the game (well, its all cool but REALLY cool stuff).. Like..... my character was making out with Bastilla in the Hawk's crew quarters! Takes some work gettin' there but, ain't nuthin better than screwin a jedi!! eheh.. But it's a completely new experience each time you play.. unless you play it about 20 times through..... this is truly the BEST BEST game EVER! The coversations are also hillarious at points. Like if you hit on Bastilla there's a few great choices in there. "You've been staring at me.. see anything you like? ---- You're so cute when you're embarrassed." Jolee is also an awesome character to strike up a convo with. The light side is the most fun to play through but the dark side will surely fuel your bloodthirst. Although I'm quite reluctant to do most of that evil stuff. Soooo yes..... i'm addicted.... and dark bastilla roolz!

KOTOR is easily the BEST rpg I've ever played. In my opinion, its better than others like BG and NWN.

 

I've been playing it for...about 5 days, solid. Ok, that sounded really sad, but true. It's definatley very addictive. My favourite character is gonna be Carth, or HK-47, he made me laugh.

 

P.S. Hey Astrotoy7, I liked the option about honorz and lamers.

Dont worry Excelsion, from reading the above posts you will have gathered that many of us have lost much hours of sleep, and neglected our wives/girlfriends and/or homework far too much since the release of KOTOR !!! But that is only because the games is THAT DAMN GOOD !!! You will probably forget about riding mutant rancors very quickly, JA has become very dull to me, all of a sudden.......

 

...the honorz and lamers option is there to poke fun at the grief associated with JA and MP gaming. On this forum, you will find mostly intelligent, thoughtful repsonses posted by reasonable ppl....... not like over at the JA forum :

you'll notice that the admins and mods are hardly ever here(which is sometimes bad), but they really have nothing to do, no one to keep in line, unlike poor Kurgan & Co at the JA forum.....

I forgot about mutant rancors the minute I heard the autorun music for KOTOR. JA is awful compared to this game. I doubt the disk will ever go into my CD drive again. When I want Star Wars, I'll just load up KOTOR.

 

I acutally sat through and watched the ending credits for this game, and I've never done that before. Now if only Bioware could implement a multiplayer section like they did with NWN. Co-op, so theres none of that lamer stuff.
