eidospsogos
okay i don't know how many of you found this. and it may not be worth it as it makes winning the races more difficult. but if you talk to queedle, the guy they say is pretty good, but an amateur that can't afford upgrades, before you race and beat his score, you can give him 500 credits for upgrades, and gain xp and light side points. but, this then makes the races more difficult to win as he will become the new champion. idontlikegeorge
Yeah, I noticed that. But I don't like the swoop races anyway. Considering you can lose within a fraction of a second, and it takes a half hour to load/unload the swoop mini-game, I find it to be a headache dealing with the swoop races. Now, maybe if you could make a quicksave/quickload in the swoop mini-game beginning, that would make it alot less annoying. Or, maybe if they have some sort of HUD in the swoop mini-game when you end the heat, you can choose to go back to the swoop office, or make another run, etc. Seriously, this one time I nerfed a run at the beginning, and I pushed ctrl-alt-del, closed kotor, reloaded kotor, and loaded my game at the swoop office. And it's faster than completing the last 20 seconds of the race, then waiting for the swoop mini-game fadeout, then the cutscene with the player character running to the anouncer, then the conversation with the anouncer (about how you lost!), then reloading the save game! eidospsogos
yeah, tell me about it. i thought the cutscene with motta the hut was long. then i got to manaan and geez..... it was truly annoying. and i think they might need to tweak the system a little, as when you tie the score of the person you were racing, (yes, this actually happened to me, i tied the gamorean at 22:50) you still get booed and told how horrible you are. at least if they're going to make you watch this 20 minute cut scene showing the reactions of the crowd they could allow for more than two reactions. M Wai
You can skip the cutscene on Manaan or Tatooine (if you lose). by perssing quickload just after the race fades out. You get about half a second to do this but it saves time.
Astrotoy7
yes, Im usually a stickler for sidequests, but this one is drivin me nuts. Basically it irks me you have to pay to practise and reload and sit through cutscenes as mentioned above.... Bluh ! I did the queedle thing before I even started racing, jus coz im such a friendly padawan, always there for a hammerhead(ithorian) in need..... Ive done everything else on the planet, I might push off, perhaps I can come back later,if you can do that ?? MTFBWYA
eidospsogos
yes you can come back to planets. just remember however that there are certain planets that will come inaccessible at certain points. you can safely travel from planet to planet without worrying about this by not getting the star maps until you are sure you are done with everything you want to do on that planet. mainly because, and i am sure most people know this, but the star maps are event triggers. you getone, something happens, you get two something happens, and you get three and there is of course the huge evnt which leaves yet another planet inaccessible. so, if you planet-hop, (which i do all the time now that i know where the best items are, it's fun to go around and get them all before you even get into the main quests) just be careful about when you get your star maps
eidospsogos
but i am sure you knew you could come and go as you please. i meant to add on that when you leave aplanet, with this completed and this not, when you come back you can pick up where you left off on everything. about the only time i've seen anything time-sensitive is on taris, and that involved being in the cantina the right time to meet the girl for the party where you got the sith armor. i didn't make it there in time to meet her my first time through, but there is a second way to get it which will also net some light-side points so i was fine.
