pk3 problems

What structure do you create in the PK3? The minimum it should have is a folder called maps with your bsp in it. As in it would be your.pk3/maps/yourmap.map if the pk3 were a directory and not a file.

 

Also pk3 files are basically zip files so if you can create a zip, then a pk3 is just a .zip with a .pk3 ending.

This may sound stupid but I'm just thinking of all possiblities.... Is the pk3 beeing put in your gamedata/base folder?

 

 

Also make sure you are using a correct arena script.

 

EDIT:

 

An example arena script:

map "oeq_light"

longname "Orbital Equanimity - Bright"

fraglimit 32

type "duel ffa"

}

 

oeq_light is the bsp, Orbital Equanimity - Bright is the name that shows up in the map list of JA, duel and ffa specify the game types. frglimit really isn't needed but I put it in just in case :p
