Security Spikes: bug?

Ive had some problems with security spike: i.e. I can't find any way to use them. I assume they should turn up as an option when you select a door (on the right hand side, where the grenade option would be if you were selecting an enemy) but i have never seen this. I cant use them from inventory, so am I just being stupid here or is it a bug/ incompatibility? I have updated to 1.01. Do they get used automatically? Cheers for any help.

Those are computer spikes. He's talking about security spikes - Mission makes those.

I haven't found any use for them, either. Perhaps they can assure a successful lockpick, even if the roll+skill bonus was not quite enough?

Nothing I've noticed as yet, however. I had Mission make a bunch, and I would sell them for some credits.

odd.. Its annoying, because it means i am reliant on having someone with high security in my group (who always end up being crap).

Put it this way, has anybody got security spikes to work? It would seem strange if they dont work on just a few people's computers.

i've never seen an option to use them as an item as you see the option for computer spikes and repair parts. there is never an item listed in that third square where it should be for using them. it's kind of sad because this takes away from the game in my opinion. especially since it is one of the first things brought up in the tutorial.

now i could be wrong, and it may go just by how many you have in your inventory. like doors that open with passcards that are in your inventory. but i chaecked the feedback a couple of times, and i have never once seen anything that implied security spikes are being used.

Hey guys try looking in the little item bar that you use to lay mines and make attacks. If a person has the security feature, i.e. to pick locks, rather than just using security, you can use a secutity spike to open a particularly hard to open door.
