vegietto
I think the war should keep going, I mean capturing Saddam was a huge step but the Iraqis can't start a democracy government on their away they might can but I don't think so, I mean I think someone would come in and take off where Saddam left off. I think we should start taking some troops out because their is too many in the country and that is why so many are dying because it is so crowded with troops espically in Bagadad, I mean the war I hope ends soon I mean it is a real waste of our armed forces we could be looking for Osama Bin Laden or using them for something else. That is my opinion, what is ya'll? tell me what you think.
lukeskywalker1
yeah, i think we should look for Osama, but keep a few troops in iraq to maintane order. There will still be fighting and stuff in iraq so we need the troops their.
ShockV1.89
We don't have much choice now. Whether or not we should have been there in the first place is still up for debate, but leaving right now would result in Iraq being worse off than before we went in. El Sitherino
Sadly I have to say that now we can't really pick up and leave Iraq, due to what Shock has stated. Before foreign military leaves, a governmental system must be established, or natural law will take order, ie. The next guy will be worse than the last. I do think we need to remove some though. lukeiamyourdad
If the US leaves, you can say hello to the new Iran...

rccar328
There's no way we can leave now without leaving a huge power vacuum in the region, which Iran will inevitably fill, making it a huge hard-line anti-American Islamic dictatorship, the last thing we want. After all, even though the Taliban is no longer in control of Afganistan and Saddam has been captured, we're not done yet. Not only is Osama still on the loose, but the goal of the war is more than Al-Qaida and Saddam - we're there to change the face of the Middle East. One of our next targets (probably after North Korea) will be Iran, in an effort to create free states across the Islamic-controlled region. If you listen carefully to President Bush's speeches, the battle of Iraq never was truly about weapons of mass destruction, freeing the Iraqi people, or even about Saddam Hussein - it is all about changing the entire region into an area of freedom. To pull out now would not only cause failure in that goal, but would encourage terrorists across the globe to attack the U.S. WE'RE IN IT TO THE END!
