5hade Posted December 21, 2003 Author Posted December 21, 2003 LOL - I know what you mean - there are far too many similar maps out there with clan logos splashed all over them! I was trying to get some ideas to do one that breaks away from the normal bar and dueling room mould.......
GothiX Posted December 21, 2003 Posted December 21, 2003 Try making an actual FFA map then, no clan logos, member names, but with actual good texturing, good gameflow (No "omqluk a dual rooom lolol"), decent weapon placement, etc.. To sum it all up: Just make a good map.
Jedi Luke Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 Though clan maps are unique to clans, it ultimately comes down to 'when will they be used?' Come to clan matches, opposing clans aren't necessarily going to download a clan map. Also this can be classified as cheating if certain flaws or hiding areas are creating that cannot be found unless you created the map or have been told. For example, someone could simply grab a flag, then hide in an invisible hole. I guess clan maps are maps only to be used by clan members for recreation, training etc. Not for competitions and matches.
